About Our President

Gregory C. McCaffery is the president and chief operating officer at BNA. He began his BNA career in 1986 as a reporter and editor, and held managing editor positions on several BNA publications until 1996, when he became BNA's director of Marketing and Product Development. He was named vice president and editor-in-chief in 2000, added the responsibilities of publisher in 2001, and was elected chief operating officer in 2003. He was named BNA's president in April 2007.

McCaffery has been a member of BNA's board of directors since 1997 and is a member of its Executive Committee. He also serves as president of BNA subsidiary company Tax Management Inc. and is a member of the board of directors of BNA subsidiary BNA International Inc.

He holds a bachelor of science degree in political science from American University, and has completed course work at the University of London and advanced certificates at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the California Institute of Technology.
