This program will address cloud computing issues from the perspectives of both a provider of such services and a consumer of them. As more and more businesses begin to use this type of data storage, security becomes an optimal concern.

Our expert panel will discuss compliance documentation, cloud computing in the EU, administrative safeguards relating to background checks, training materials, and different requirements surrounding proprietary and personal information, among other issues.

Educational Objectives:

• Administrative safeguards

• Questions you should ask before using the cloud, including how it will be used, why it will be used (flexibility, scalability, cost savings), and whether the provider and the consumer will commit in writing which obligations and responsibilities belong to each side

• Common fallacies about the cloud

Who would benefit most from attending the program?

Corporate counsel who advise their employers on electronic security issues; managing partners; government attorneys; risk managers; IT and security professionals seeking to understand operational and related considerations; and privacy officers.
