Justin Bernick is an Associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Hogan Lovells where his practice focuses on antitrust litigation and other complex commercial litigation, including class actions, as well as antitrust clearance of mergers and acquisitions and other government investigations. He represents clients in matters in state, federal district, and federal appellate courts throughout the U.S. He also represents clients in matters before the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, and various State Attorneys General around the country.

Mr. Bernick routinely counsels clients on various antitrust issues, including compliance with the Sherman Act, the Federal Trade Commission Act, and the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act. He also assists clients in responding to subpoenas, civil investigative demands, second requests, and other government requests for information, as well as managing complex electronic discovery matters.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert G. Doumar of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.  He earned his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Virginia.

Mr. Bernick is a co-author of the Bloomberg BNA Corporate Practice Portfolio SeriesAntitrust Compliance.  This portfolio volume discusses the importance of antitrust compliance by business entities and explains how organizations can establish and monitor an effective antitrust compliance program.  It also provides practical advice concerning the conduct of business relations with competitors, customers, and suppliers, as well as for when the business entity is involved in a merger or acquisition.
