January

Bloomberg Law, the innovative legal research and business intelligence system, joins the Bloomberg BNA family of products.


2013
August

Bloomberg BNA launches major state tax expansion, including excise and property tax navigators, state tax developments tracker, and nexus evaluator tools, and features My States option.

2012
January

Greg McCaffery is named Chief Executive Officer and President of Bloomberg BNA. Paul Wojcik remains as Chairman.

To recognize BNA’s inclusion in the Bloomberg family, BNA becomes Bloomberg BNA, and the new Bloomberg BNA logo begins appearing on all products and bna.com.


2011
September

Bloomberg acquires BNA for $990 million, making BNA a standalone wholly-owned subsidiary.


2010

First app for mobile phones becomes available – BNA Quick Tax Reference for iPhone, BlackBerry, and Android.

Bethesda becomes home to 130 employees from the Rockville facility — state-of-the-art technology makes customer operations even more responsive.

Premiere State Tax Library is launched with sales and use analysis by state and the chart builder tool, allowing users to create charts on the fly to their specifications.

Labor & Employment Resource Center ushers in a new product model for the company – a comprehensive platform incorporating all the news and reference material available in a practice area in an intuitive interface. Intellectual Property, Telecommunications, Internet Law, Healthcare Law, and other Resource Centers follow.

December

BNA hosts a booth at the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.

January

International HR Decision Support Network is launched - is launched - the first Decision Support Network to offer vertical search of content provided by BNA and by vetted outside sources.


2007
Summer

BNA Headquarters moves to Arlington, Virginia after almost 80 years in Washington D.C.'s West End.

April

Paul Wojcik is elected BNA's 5th chairman; Greg McCaffery is elected BNA's 5th president.

Labor & Employment Law Library is the first library to migrate to BNA's new web platform.

October

Accounting Policy & Practice Series is launched in wake of Enron and other accounting scandals.

HR Decision Support Network debuts - the first in a series of membership-based subscription services with customized research and experts to answer customers' unique questions.
