Brazil and Russia are two countries with economies that have experienced increased activity over the past few years. Both countries contain vast potential, with increasingly lucrative markets and abundant natural resources. Unfortunately, many multinationals are finding that the global mobility policies and procedures that they utilize in other locations do not always work well or at all in these two countries. Whether due to local immigration law, or labor and tax law peculiarities in each jurisdiction, many companies are finding that they have to modify their normal methods for administering international assignees. This webinar will highlight some of the challenges and issues that companies will face in Brazil and Russia as they transfer employees in and out of each country, and give HR professionals ideas on how to approach future assignments in each jurisdiction. In addition, the presentation will give an overview of local income and social tax rules that will affect individual assignees in each country. Examples will be provided to highlight points being discussed.
