Beth C. Ring is a senior member of Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., and founder of the firm’s New York office. With 35 years of experience, Ms. Ring’s practice includes the broad range of customs and trade issues. Specifically, she counsels importers across diverse industries with matters related to classification, valuation, transaction structuring, duty preference programs, trade remedy laws and trade policy issues. Ms. Ring has assisted many importers structure their transactions to allow for the maximum duty savings. In addition, she has considerable experience handling seizure cases at both the administrative and judicial levels.

From 1987 to 1992, Ms. Ring was counsel to the government of the Dominican Republic in its textile quota negotiations with the United States. She also was appointed by the World Bank to conduct a study of the free zone program in the Dominican Republic. She assisted the government of El Salvador in rewriting its export promotion law after successfully representing El Salvador in antidumping and countervailing duty cases.

Ms. Ring regularly lectures on United States customs law for various U.S. and international associations and teaches many of the customs law seminars that the Firm publicly offers each fall and spring.
