Chris Marlin leads Bloomberg BNA’s Human Resources organization. He joined BNA in July 2008, as Senior Director, Human Resources, and assumed his current position in April 2009. Prior to BNA, he served in various senior Human Resource positions in Fortune 500, private equity, and boutique consulting sectors. His most recent role was as VP of Human Resources for Western Industries Inc., a privately held group of eight diverse manufacturing companies serving a top Fortune 500 customer base. In addition to his HR role, he worked on numerous M&A, divestitures, and organizational restructuring.
Prior to Western, Marlin served as AVP, Human Resources Development & Training for Union Pacific Railroad. Other previous roles have included VP & Managing Partner at TTM Inc., a global consulting firm specializing in business strategy design, organizational change and operational improvements for a broad base of multinational business organizations; and Director, HR Training & Organizational Development for Tenneco Automotive, responsible for global sales and marketing HR, Corporate HR staff, executive development, Greenfield startups, organizational change, and operational quality programs.
Marlin holds a master’s in Adult Education and a bachelor’s in Social Work, and attended the Stanford University Human Resource Executive program. He resides in Maryland with his spouse, Judi.
