CLE applications require the following information: full name of and contact information for the requesting attorney, including e-mail address, phone number, fax number, bar number(s), and the state(s) in which the attorney would like credit.
The approval process may take approximately three to four months in some states. Attendees will be notified electronically via the e-mail address provided on the online application regarding the final status of his or her CLE application. For Bloomberg BNA Legal & Business CLE eligible programs, any person applying for CLE credit must have paid for and attended the webinar from start to finish. Attendance will be tracked for compliance purposes.
States Not Granting Credit
Please be advised that Bloomberg BNA webinars are subject to approval from each CLE-issuing organization and approval is not guaranteed. The following state bar associations currently do not grant CLE credit for Bloomberg BNA webinars:
• Delaware
• Nebraska
• Ohio
• Pennsylvania
“Non-MCLE” States
The following states are considered “non-reporting” states, meaning they do not require continuing legal education, so there is no formal state or district-mandated application process available. However, Bloomberg BNA will provide a certificate of attendance to individuals requesting documentation for their personal records.

Hardship Policy
Bloomberg BNA offers a hardship policy for any attorney earning less than $30,000 per year. If an attorney wishes to take advantage of this option, he or she must do so in writing and also provide proof of hardship. If approval is granted, a discount of 50% off the full registration price of the program will be awarded.

No prerequisite courses, advanced preparation or experience is required for admittance to this workshop. Delivery method: Group-Internet Based Recordings of the program do not qualify for CPE credits.

In this basic introductory course, participants will learn various ways to conduct tax research using the Tax and Accounting Center to get answers quickly, easily, and efficiently. The program is a live, group training session, accessible via telephone and the internet.
Program Description:
Participants work through a scenario-based exercise employing three different tax research strategies while learning to locate answers in the expert analysis of the Tax and Accounting Center (including the Federal, State, International, and Accounting Portfolios and the Tax Practice Series). The course prepares participants to quickly and efficiently retrieve information, to conduct thorough and effective tax research, and to use the Tax and Accounting Center’s enhanced functionality.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to
- Locate information by topic using the Tax and Accounting indexes
- Find laws or regulations cited in analysis, cases, and supporting examples
- Locate a Portfolio or a chapter from the Expert Analysis Collection by browsing, using the index, or conducting a keyword search
- Locate a federal source document from the Laws, Regulations, Agency Documents collection by browsing, by citation lookup, or by using the appropriate index
- Locate a Federal Tax Case or a State Supreme Court Case from the Cases and Decisions collection by browsing, by citation lookup, or by using the appropriate index
