    Continuing Education Information

    Bloomberg BNA provides registered attendees with continuing education credits for live conferences and seminars, webinars, OnDemand and eLearning programs.   

    Bloomberg BNA offers the following credits:

    Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credits
    Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credits
    Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI)
    American Payroll Association (RCH) credits

    Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credits

    Bloomberg BNA provides registered attendees with continuing legal education (CLE) credit processing services for CLE eligible programs.

    Individual programs, subjects, and formats may not receive credit in some states and there may be specific rules regarding who may earn credit or the maximum number of credit hours that may be earned with specific formats.  For specific questions, contact your state MCLE regulatory entity for specific questions about your MCLE rules or visit the American Bar Association for general information on accreditation.

    For Bloomberg BNA CLE eligible programs, any person applying for CLE credit must have registered for and attended the program from start-to-finish.  Attendance will be tracked and other interactivity components will be utilized for compliance purposes. 

    The approval process may take approximately four to eight weeks in some states. Attendees will be notified electronically via the e-mail address provided during the online registration process regarding the final status of his or her CLE request.   Please be advised that Bloomberg BNA programs are subject to approval from each CLE-issuing organization and approval is not guaranteed. 

    Webinar Approvals:

    Bloomberg BNA Live Webinars are generally approved for MCLE credit in the following states/territories/jurisdictions:  Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Virgin Islands, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

    Credit is currently not available in the following locations for Bloomberg BNA webinars: Delaware, Nebraska, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.  If you seek additional information or clarification regarding a specific locate, Bloomberg BNA customer service at 800.372.1033 and ask to speak to the CLE Accreditations Coordinator, or email us at accreditations@bna.com.

    OnDemand Approvals:

    Bloomberg BNA OnDemand programs are generally approved for MCLE credit in the following states/territories/jurisdictions:  Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York,  North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont,  Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

    "Non-MCLE" Locations:

    The following states are considered "non-reporting" states, meaning they do not require continuing legal education, so there is no formal state or district-mandated application process available. However, Bloomberg BNA will provide a certificate of attendance to individuals requesting documentation for their personal records in: Connecticut, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, and South Dakota. 

    Requesting Credit:

    Tax and Accounting and Environment, Health & Safety webinars: 

    Please complete and submit the online Webinar Continuing Education Request Form available at http://attend.bna.com. Be sure to submit your online request for CLE within seven calendar days after the webinar. If you do not complete the online form during the processing period, we are unable to guarantee that your CLE request will be processed.

    CLE requests require the following information at the time the request is made: full name and contact information for the requesting attorney, including e-mail address, phone number, fax number, bar number(s), and the state(s) in which the attorney would like credit. The maximum of two states or jurisdictions can be requested by a registered attendee on a single program.  

    Legal and Business webinars: 

    Attendees will be automatically prompted at the conclusion of a program to request continuing education credits provided that all the required checkpoints have been met.  Credit requests can also be initiated by clicking the "Credit" tab during a program or the "Manage Credits" tab located at the top of page in the online classroom. 

    Hardship Policy:

    Bloomberg BNA offers a hardship policy for attorneys earning less than $50,000 per year. If an attorney wishes to take advantage of this option, he or she must contact Bloomberg BNA directly. For attorneys who are unemployed or earning less than $35,000 per year, a full discount off the price of the program will be awarded upon written proof of hardship. Attorneys earning between $35,000 and $50,000 per year will receive a 50% discount off the price of the program.  Any attorney working in the public service sector also qualifies for a special price.     Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credits

    Bloomberg BNA is a NASBA-approved provider of CPE credit for our live conferences and seminars, webinars, and tax and accounting eLearning programs.  We are in the process of extending our CPE sponsor status to QAS for our eLearning programs. 

    Bloomberg BNA provides registered webinar attendees with continuing education credits. To expedite this service, please complete and submit the online Webinar Continuing Education Request Form available at http://attend.bna.com. Be sure to submit your online application for continuing education credits within seven calendar days of the webinar. If you do not complete the online form during the processing period, Bloomberg BNA is unable to guarantee that your request will be processed.

     cpe_credits Bloomberg BNA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.     Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI)

    Receive 1.5 PHR, SPHR or GPHR credits by attending select Bloomberg BNA programs. Refer to the table above for more information regarding program formats and available continuing education credits.

    Bloomberg BNA is a Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) Approved Provider. HRCI is the leading independent, internationally recognized certifying body for the HR profession.  The use of this seal is not an endorsement by HRCI of the quality of the program. It means that this program has met HRCI's criteria to be pre-approved for recertification credit.

    American Payroll Association (RCH credits)

    Receive 1.5 RCH credits by attending select Bloomberg BNA programs.  Refer to the table above for more information regarding program formats and available continuing education credits.

    Bloomberg BNA is an APA Approved Provider of recertification credit hours (RCHs). Bloomberg BNA Webinars are ideal for Payroll professionals to prepare for Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) and Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) exams, continue accumulating recertification credit hours, or learn the latest information.
