Reporting on sustainability performance has gained momentum over the past 20 years and has become a global phenomenon. Reporting by North American organizations is slowly increasing but the total number of reports remains behind those from Europe. Therefore, the level of sustainability communication needs to grow further if critical sustainability issues are to be tackled and the benefits of taking a strategic approach to sustainability communications are to be realized. The familiar saying “what gets measured gets managed” has never been more relevant.

With the increasing prospect of mandatory reporting in many markets, organizations now have to consider how they will position their sustainability communications for the first time. This is particularly crucial for organizations wanting to demonstrate transparency and accountability when operating in the international market. Stakeholders want more information on organizational nonfinancial performance and corporate decisionmakers need to ensure they have a compelling sustainability story. This is an exciting time for sustainability reporting and communications as organizations are challenged to take a clear stand and articulate their performance.

This 90-minute webinar is designed to:

  • Identify the development, progress, and trends of sustainability reporting
  • Analyze the fundamentals of sustainability communications including guidelines and standards
  • Explore predictions in the future of corporate sustainability
