Moderator: Toby Merrill, ACE Professional Risk
Toby Merrill is a Vice President in ACE USA’s Professional Risk division, where he is the national product manager of the Network Security, Privacy, Technology and Media Liability products. In this capacity, he is responsible for product development as well as overseeing underwriting operations for those lines. Mr. Merrill has more than a dozen years of experience in the insurance arena, specifically in underwriting professional liability, management liability and cyber risk exposures.

Katherine Race Brin, Federal Trade Cimmission
Katherine Race Brin is an attorney in the Division of Privacy and Identity Protection at the Federal Trade Commission. Her responsibilities include: enforcing federal laws that protect the privacy and security of consumers’ information and working on policy matters involving emerging technologies and consumer privacy. Prior to joining the FTC in 2007, Ms. Brin was an associate at WilmerHale LLP in Washington, DC and completed two federal clerkships. She earned a B.A. with honors from the University of Michigan and a J.D., with a Certificate in Law and Technology, from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.

Linda Clark, Reed Elsevier Group
Linda Clark is Senior Counsel for Data Security and Compliance at Reed Elsevier Group, a world leading provider of professional information solutions. Ms. Clark acts as lead counsel to Reed Elsevier’s Information Assurance and Data Protection Organization and provides expert guidance on data security and privacy safeguards and frameworks for compliance with state and federal legal and regulatory obligations. Prior to joining Reed Elsevier, Ms. Clark was a litigator with a large law firm in New York City, handling complex civil litigation and arbitration. Before that, Ms. Clark was with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) advising telecommunications and hi-tech companies . Ms. Clark is a graduate of Barnard College, Columbia University and The University of Michigan Law School. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

John B. Graham, Zurich North America
John Graham is currently the Security & Privacy Liability Product Manager for Zurich in North America. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), a CPCU and has been a CE instructor for security & privacy. Mr. Graham is currently involved with the Atlantic Council's initiative to assess global cyber risk and has 26 years of insurance industry experience.

Betty Shepherd, S.H. Smith & Company
Betty Shepherd joined S.H. Smith & Company, Inc. in 2011, as Vice President in the Professional & Management Liability department. She is responsible for placement and negotiation of Cyber, Security & Privacy insurance and related coverage for a wide variety of public and private organizations. Prior to joining S.H. Smith, Mr. Shepherd held the position of Assistant Vice President of RLI where she developed and launched RLI’s CyberSecure policy. She is responsible for developing a profitable book of cyber business comprised of both primary and excess policies on a national basis in addition to supporting the production of the MPL book of business nationally. Additionally, Mr. Shepherd was an Assistant Vice President of Arch Insurance Group in their Miscellaneous Professional Liability department and was one of the two individuals responsible for its creation. She produced MPL business and managed the Arch cyber product, WebNet and later developed and launched an additional cyber product, NetSafe. Mr. Shepherd has also held senior underwriting positions at Zurich, Reliance National and began her insurance career at AIG.

Laurie A. Kamaiko, Esq., Edwards Wildman & Palmer LLP
Laurie Kamaiko is a Partner in the New York City office of Edwards Wildman & Palmer LLP. She is on the Steering Committee of the firm’s inter-departmental Privacy and Data Protection Group, and is a member of the firm’s Insurance and Reinsurance Department. She represents insurers, reinsurers, and other companies in the insurance industry on issues involving coverage, claims handling, and extra-contractual liabilities. She regularly advises on the exposures, risk management issues and potential insurance coverage and reinsurance issues presented by data breaches and other privacy related risks, including first party costs and third party claims. She is also a member of the Group’s Breach Response Team, and advises on compliance issues and represents clients in privacy related legal proceedings. She often works with insurers on drafting insurance forms and endorsements, including those addressing privacy and other cyber risk exposures. Ms. Kamaiko is a frequent author and regular lecturer on data protection and insurance issues, and is an editor of her firm’s white paper, “Everyone’s Nightmare: Privacy and Data Breach Risks.” Ms. Kamaiko can be reached at lkamaiko@edwardswildman.com, and 212-912-2768. Gabriel Weinberg, DuckDuckGo
Gabriel Weinberg is the CEO and founder of DuckDuckGo, a search engine that does not track you and has better instant answers. Previously he founded NamesDatabase, which was sold to Classmates.com in 2006. Mr. Weinberg was educated at MIT, with a B.S. in Physics and an M.S. in Technology and Policy. He is also an active angel investor and blogger, based in Valley Forge, PA.

This program’s CLE-credit eligibility varies by state. Bloomberg BNA is an accredited provider in the states of New York*, California, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia, and most other jurisdictions grant CLE credit on a per-program basis. At this time, Bloomberg BNA does not apply directly to the states of Florida, Rhode Island, Montana and Hawaii although credit is usually available for attorneys who wish to apply individually. Additionally, the following states currently do not grant credit for Bloomberg BNA OnDemand programming: Arkansas, Ohio, Nebraska, and Delaware. All requests are subject to approval once the live webinar has taken place or the customer has viewed the OnDemand version. Hardship Policy
Bloomberg BNA offers a hardship policy for attorneys earning less than $50,000 per year. If an attorney wishes to take advantage of this option, he or she must contact Bloomberg BNA directly. For attorneys who are unemployed or earning less than $35,000 per year, a full discount off the price of the program will be awarded upon written proof of hardship. Attorneys earning between $35,000 and $50,000 per year will receive a 50% discount off the price of the program. Any attorney working in the public service sector also qualifies for a special price.
