Amy C. de La Lama is Of Counsel in the Chicago office of Baker & McKenzie LLP. Ms. de La Lama has assisted a wide array of companies (financial institutions, retail companies, sourcing providers, online businesses) in addressing legal issues related to global privacy and data collection, data security, information technology and related restrictions on data collection and movement.

Ms. de La Lama has drafted comprehensive compliance programs and worked closely with U.S. government agencies to assist her clients resolve related regulatory issues. She also has assisted both customers and vendors with outsourcing transactions and has assisted clients with information technology issues. Such experience includes assisting information technology companies in negotiating and drafting software license, service, support and maintenance and marketing agreements.

Prior to joining Baker & McKenzie, Ms. de La Lama spent three years as an associate at Holland & Hart, LLP in Denver. During that time, Ms. de La Lama gained significant regulatory experience in areas including privacy, foreign corrupt practices act, export control and sanctioned country regulations. Before attending law school, Ms. de La Lama worked as a market analyst for Cushman & Wakefield/GCI in Mexico City.

She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from the University of Colorado.
