Dennis Tingey is a partner in the Federal Tax Services group of the Washington National Tax Services (WNTS) practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers. In this role, he advises a broad range of clients on accounting method developments, and has distinguished himself as an instructor, at both the local and national levels. His specialty is in complex federal income tax and accounting issues.

Prior to rejoining PwC in 2008, Mr. Tingey worked as a tax specialist for the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Tax Policy, where he was heavily involved in the issuance of the tangible property “repair” regulations. He also worked on other guidance projects in a wide variety of tax matters, including issues related to characterizations of settlement payments, depreciation, like-kind exchanges, corporate estimate taxes, Section 199, recognition of losses under Section 165 and disaster relief.
