The Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration issues its final rule revising the procedures to obtain administrative exemptions from the prohibited transaction provisions of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act. The rule clarifies and consolidates the department's individual and class exemption procedures and provides a more complete explanation of the prohibited transaction exemption process, the department says in the rule.
