According to the US Census, more than 19 percent of US citizens have an identified disability. Despite this high prevalence rate, few companies have developed a deep understanding of the challenges that employees with disabilities face at work.

And while employees with disabilities have been a protected group since 1964, they have yet to receive special consideration under affirmative action policies. But this may be changing: in 2011, the US government started revisiting affirmative action laws and is considering including those with disabilities as a protected class.

Join Dr. Peter Rutigliano, Senior Consultant at Sirota Consulting, and Carol Glazer, President of the National Organization on Disability, as they:
•Take a closer look at the work experience for employees with disabilities
•Highlight the critical concerns of disabled employees
•Discuss implications and recommendations for leaders, managers, and human resources professionals
