Due to the state of the American economy and ongoing personal financial challenges, many employees who would otherwise retire choose to stay in the workforce.

Employers will need to know how to handle this older workforce and how to navigate the discrimination laws that pertain to them.

Join Terrence Robinson, Shareholder, Kennard, Blankenship and Robinson, P.C., as he discusses:

•What persons or entities are covered by Age Discrimination laws
•Federal law as compared to state law
•ADEA (Federal) vs. Texas Commission on Human Rights Act (State law)
•Potential consequences for employers who fail to act in accordance with the requirements of the ADEA/TCHRA
•How to minimize age discrimination claims arising out of reduction in force and what factors to consider in selecting employees to layoff
•Severance/Settlement Agreement Requirements of the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act
•Potential retaliation claims
