India is presenting challenges for many multinational companies, from both a legal and a tax compliance perspective. Knowledge of a country’s legal environment is key when a company is entering (or has already entered) that market.

This webinar is designed for HR professionals who want to know the basics of India expatriate assignment issues. It provides tips on how to deploy individuals to India and covers key topics of interest for U.S. employers doing business—or planning to-- in India.

Join Bill Delabar, of Deloitte Tax LLP and Jordan W. Cowman, Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, as they address the specific issues that India raises and attempt to determine the best way to structure assignments into and out of this emerging market country.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of local law in India and be introduced to the following topics:
•Overview of immigration formalities
•Sources of regulation
•Income Tax issues
•Social Security Tax issues
