Frederick R. Burke is a managing partner of Baker & McKenzie LLP's Vietnam offices. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors from Stanford University, his Juris Doctor Degree from Columbia University School of Law and his Masters Degree of International and Public Affairs from Columbia University School of International Affairs. He was admitted to practice in New York (1987) and Washington, D.C. (1988) and registered as a foreign lawyer in Vietnam since 1996. Fred Burke has almost twenty years' experience in the planning, negotiation and operation of foreign investment projects as well as in the related issues of trade, securities, finance, construction, taxation, regulatory compliance, labor, intellectual property and technology transfer. He is currently a Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of Hong Kong Business Association in Vietnam, Co-Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Business Forum and Senior Advisor, and Chairman of the Legal Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam.
