Elizabeth Holland is an Associate in Foley Hoag LLP's Litigation Department. Prior to joining Foley Hoag, Ms. Holland was a Program Associate and Head of Curriculum Development with the Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research at Harvard University. In this capacity, she worked on the international humanitarian law and policy portfolio, focusing on matters related to counterterrorism regulation, qualification of armed conflict, humanitarian assistance, occupation law and regulation of private military and security contractors. Ms. Holland was also the producer of a monthly series of live seminars debating critical issues in humanitarian law and policy, typically attracting hundreds of academic, legal, humanitarian, military and UN professionals from around the world.

Ms. Holland received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Providence College, her M.A. from the University of London, and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School.

Ms. Holland is a co-author of Bloomberg BNA Corporate Practice Portfolio Series No. 93, Corporate Social Responsibility.  This portfolio volume discusses a wide range of legal and business concerns facing companies today. This portfolio focuses primarily, but not exclusively, on the social impacts of business activities.
