The House will debate repealing new Form 1099 information reporting requirements at some point in March, possibly as early as the week of Feb. 28, House Republican staffers say. The talk of floor consideration follows two votes by the House Ways and Means Committee to repeal the requirements. By voice vote, the committee approves a bill that would repeal only the generic Form 1099 rules enacted under the health care overhaul and a second bill that includes the repeal of the Form 1099 rules in the health care law and expansion of those rules covering landlords enacted under a small business law.
