Whether you decided to apply for a new generic top level domain or chose to sit this one out, you’ll need to know what to expect next as the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) moves forward with its unprecedented expansion of the Internet root.

Due to a technical "glitch" in the TLD application system (TAS), ICANN suspended the original application process and has extended the period during which applications can be submitted until May 30. Register now to learn about the ongoing, up-to-the-minute developments in this arena.

Join Bloomberg BNA’s panel of experts as they navigate trademark holders through the untested waters that lie ahead during the evaluation period and beyond. The panelists will explain:

• Batching – What it is and how it affects your application.
• Critical Timelines – Are they set in stone or a moving target?
• Objections – on what grounds
• Dispute Resolution – procedures and alternative avenues for relief
• Applicant Guidebook – revisions and updates
• Trademark Clearinghouse – its purpose and status
• Withdrawals and Refunds – can you get your money back?

Educational Objectives:

• Learn about the recent ICANN developments so you may better advise your clients.
• Find out about the public comment and objection processes.
• Learn new gTLD opportunities and challenges for brand owners.
