When the Senate Finance Committee approved a $205 billion package of tax breaks earlier this month that extended the life of provisions that died in 2011 or are set to expire in 2012, it steered clear of provisions set to sunset in 2013, a move that has lobbyists for those measures seeking a way in, sources tell BNA. The House Ways and Means Committee, which is examining the tax extenders, is expected to put together a package that does not include the handful of tax provisions expiring in 2013, a Republican staffer says.
