IRS to Start Processing Tax Returns With Education Credit, Depreciation

Monday, February 11, 2013
Most taxpayers should be able to begin filing their tax returns with the Internal Revenue Service this week when the Service will start processing returns with depreciation and education credit forms, IRS announces in a news release (IR-2013-18). IRS says it will start processing tax returns that contain Form 4562, Depreciation and Amortization, Feb. 10, and it will begin processing Form 8863, Education Credits, Feb. 14. These forms affect the largest groups of taxpayers who were unable to file on the Jan. 30 opening of the 2013 tax season, IRS says.
