IRS Would Consider Cross-Border Deal Facts In Determining Tax Treatment, Official Says

NEW YORK--The Internal Revenue Service, through its private letter ruling process, is willing to provide taxpayers with assurances they are complying with federal tax regulations regarding the tax preferred treatment of qualifying cross-border transactions, Ronald A. Dabrowski, deputy associate chief counsel (international), said Oct. 11.
