Jo-el began her career at Bloomberg BNA in 1999 as a legal editor for Pension & Benefits Daily, Pension & Benefits Reporter, and Employee Benefits Cases. As a legal editor, she regularly covered legal developments in numerous high profile pension and health benefit cases. In 2008, she was awarded the Beltz Editorial Award of Excellence for an article she wrote on the patenting of pension plan designs. Jo-el developed and now manages the ERISA Litigation Tracker. She became assistant managing editor for Bloomberg BNA’s pension and benefits publications in 2011. Jo-el received her B.A. from the University of Cincinnati in 1995 and her J.D. from Capital University Law School in 1999.
