Arlington. Va. (November 28, 2011) – Cyberattacks on networks and information stored in computer databases and other applications are increasing by the day. In this age where the Internet has permeated so many facets of our daily lives, creating a safe, secure, and resilient cyber environment needs to be priority for both businesses and consumers.
Get the insight you need to protect your important data by attending BNA’s December 8 webinar, Cybersecurity: Key Threat Trends and Issues. This 90-minute session presented by industry expert Adam Palmer, Lead Cybersecurity Advisor for Norton by Symantec, will provide an introduction into cybercrime-related issues affecting both consumers and business. Learn the latest cybersecurity threats, data on consumer views toward cybersecurity, law enforcement challenges in fighting cybercrime, and basic issues every in-house counsel should understand about cybercrime laws, investigations, and security planning.
“Promoting cybersecurity knowledge and innovation is the key to a good defense, especially with so many vulnerabilities that exist in our computers, mobile devices, and on the Internet,” says Palmer. “With the proper safeguards in place consumers can confidently preserve their data and prevent identity theft, and businesses can feel safe that their trade secrets, proprietary information, and personally identifiable information (PII) of their customers or employees is secure.”
This program is essential for any attorney, CISO, CSO, or compliance manager responsible for information security, and will help you:
• Recognize the challenges and “players” involved in a cybercrime investigation
• Monitor the current cybersecurity threat landscape and latest trends
• Assess consumer and public views on cybersecurity
• Understand the basic cybercrime related laws and legal concepts
