Michael Eisenstein is Vice President and Group Publisher, Legal & Business Publishing, responsible for the growth and editorial development of a business unit with more than 30 practice areas focused on law firm and corporate legal markets. He joined BNA in May 2009. Previously, he served as Vice President of Publishing Development at LexisNexis, where he led product development across all of the business units. He was Vice President and Publisher at Garland Law Publishing and Editorial Director at Matthew Bender and Company, overseeing the criminal law and practice division. He maintained a solo appellate practice from 1976 until 1997, specializing in civil and criminal appeals.
Eisenstein holds a B.A. in political science from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University, and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. He is a member of the New York bar, and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is the co-author of Business Crime: Criminal Liability of the Business Community.
