New Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Technology Officer at BNA

Arlington, Va. (April 6, 2011) – Legal and business publisher BNA has announced the appointments of Lisa Fitzpatrick as Chief Marketing Officer and John H. Camp as Chief Technology Officer for the parent company.

Lisa Fitzpatrick is currently the Director of Marketing for BNA Tax & Accounting, overseeing marketing, product management, and product development efforts for the tax business unit. She has more than 20 years of marketing and publishing experience. Before coming to BNA, she was Vice President of Marketing at MarketResearch.com, where she led rebranding efforts and redesigned websites to increase online lead generation and sales through search engine optimization and pay-per-click advertising. Previous to that she led direct marketing efforts at Thompson Publishing Group as Marketing Director. And, early in her career, Lisa founded and launched German Life magazine, a special interest magazine featuring German culture, history, travel, and German influences in North America. She holds an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and an MBA from the University of Maryland.

“Lisa will build the structural capacity inside our marketing services organization to enable BNA to better leverage its marketing efforts across all of our business units,” said President and Chief Operating Officer Gregory C. McCaffery. “The new environment has put an end to the idea of “separate” markets, and BNA’s marketing organization will now reflect that.”

John Camp has more than 10 years of publishing CTO experience and also a diverse industry background in banking, retail, education, engineering, and professional services. He has worked at Wolters Kluwer Health and Thomson Financial Media, where he established a track record for building IT teams focused on accelerating business growth and innovation, improving profitability, and simplifying operations. Most recently at Wolters Kluwer Health, John was responsible for deploying new eCommerce systems, ERP systems, and building the next generation content management and delivery systems that are used today by many medical associations throughout the country.

“Over the course of his career, John has built a reputation for successfully connecting technology with business goals, and crafting innovative technology solutions to enable business growth. He brings this experience in identifying the right technology solutions to BNA at a critical time in our evolution, and reinvention as a technology company,” said McCaffery.
