Norman Goldberg serves as the fiduciary officer for many of the high profile clients of Evercore Trust. Goldberg directs Evercore's financial analysis and legal groups. Goldberg's previous affiliations include serving as the supervising attorney for the Office of the Solicitor of the Department of Labor, where he was responsible for overseeing most of the litigation initiated by the Department of Labor under ERISA between 1977 and 1985.
Goldberg served with two financial services firms specializing in ERISA prior to joining Evercore in 1993. He has a national reputation and is noted for his fiduciary expertise with respect to employee benefit plans subject to ERISA.
Goldberg is a member of Bloomberg BNA Pension & Benefits Publications Advisory Board. He also a frequent lecturer on employee benefit plans and fiduciary responsibilities and has published numerous articles.
He received his B.A. in Political Science from Brandeis University and his J.D. from Georgetown University.
