Mary Ann Northrup is a Senior Director in FTI Consulting's Forensic and Litigation Consulting practice. Ms. Northrup provides support in investigations, litigation and compliance matters involving life sciences and healthcare companies. She has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare and life sciences industries. In an advisory role, she has assisted healthcare and life sciences clients in identifying and managing regulatory and compliance risks, as well as assisted in effective mitigation and remediation of those risks.
Ms. Northrup's experience as a research nurse and in clinical operations for a global pharmaceutical company make her uniquely qualified to identify and mitigate compliance risks across the research continuum for both provider and life sciences companies.
Ms. Northrup has performed multiple compliance program effectiveness reviews for provider and life science companies, including the recent completion of a compliance program review on behalf of the Board of Directors of an integrated health system, in support of their corporate integrity agreement obligations.
She was previously a Director at Navigant Consulting, a Manager at KPMG, a Senior Clinical Development Associate at Eli Lilly and a Clinical Research Nurse at Clarian Health Partners.
Ms. Northrup received her B.S.N. from Indiana University and her M.S.N. from Duke University.
She is a co-author of the Bloomberg BNA Health Law & Business Portfolio Series No. 3200, The Regulation and Management of Clinical Research.
