Obama Reinforces Budget Positions, Tax Reforms in Speech

President Obama travels to Asheville, N.C., to highlight parts of his 2013 State of the Union address, specifically how corporate tax reforms and new programs could bolster manufacturing in the United States. “[T]here are things we can do right now to accelerate the resurgence of American manufacturing,” the president says. Gene Sperling, director of the White House National Economic Council, speaks to reporters about the president's proposals to help manufacturers, including changes in the tax code.
