Steven C. Hawkins, CPEA, CPSA is a partner at Environmental Resources Management Inc. (ERM) where he serves as the Process Safety Management Regional Practice Director. Over the past 20 years, Steve has worked with a variety of clients to develop, implement, and audit process safety management (PSM) and risk management planning (RMP) programs. Steve has conducted over 150 PSM-related audits and is a Certified Process Safety Auditor as wells as a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor. Steve is based out of ERM’s Cincinnati, Ohio branch office.


Joseph Baker, CSP, CIH, CPEA is a senior consultant at Environmental Resources Management Inc. (ERM). Joe has more than 35 years of experience in the practice and management of occupational hygiene, safety, and occupational health. His experience includes 21 years at ERM conducting over 400 compliance audits (100 process safety management audits), developing PSM, risk management planning, and other technical health and safety management programs, assessing safety culture, and serving as a senior health and safety resource. He also has been a leader in ERM’s process safety management practice since 1988, with expertise in OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, and New Jersey’s Toxic Catastrophe Prevention Act requirements. Joe is based out of ERM’s Exton, Pa. branch office.
