Mark A. Paolillo is a Principal at Ryan, LLC where he leads the Abandoned and Unclaimed Property practice. Mr. Paolillo and his team and his team assist corporations with various unclaimed property projects involving risk assessments, voluntary compliance initiatives, representation for companies undergoing unclaimed property audits, development of policies and procedures for handling unclaimed property, and negotiations on settlements with state unclaimed property administrators.
Mr. Paolillo has more than 28 years of public accounting experience serving clients in a variety of industries, and lectures on various tax topics for Ryan clients. Additionally, he has appeared as a speaker for the Council On State Taxation, Greenberg Traurig LLP Unclaimed Property Webinars, Tax Executives Institute, and the Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization.
He previously was a Vice President at Thomson Reuters and a Director at Deloitte & Touche LLP.
He is a member of the Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization (UPPO), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Mr. Paolillo received his B.S. from Northeastern University and his M.B.A. from Boston College, and an M.S.T. from Bentley University.
He is a co-author of Bloomberg BNA Corporate Practice Portfolio Series No. 74-3rd, Unclaimed Property.
