Paul Te Boekhorst

Paul te Boekhorst is a Tax Director with KPMG Meijburg Caribbean where he is Head of Tax Knowledge Management. In this capacity, Paul and his team provide tax advice in relation to the following jurisdictions: Curaçao, Sint Maarten and the BES Islands (together the former Netherlands Antilles), Aruba, Suriname and Cuba. Prior to being promoted to Tax Director in 2014, Paul was senior tax manager in the Tax Knowledge Center of KPMG Meijburg & Co where he dealt mainly with EU law and tax treaty aspects of taxation and international tax law. He was involved in the litigation before various Courts including the ECJ in Luxembourg for clients applying for Dutch fiscal unity treatment between companies with a common parent company resident in other Member States of the European Union.

Before joining KPMG in 1996, Paul was a Senior Research Associate at IBFD where he wrote reports for multinational clients with interests in the Netherlands, Switzerland and the Netherlands Antilles. He also delivered and updated chapters of loose leaf publications, wrote numerous articles and lectured on international tax issues.
