For the large employer, there could be thousands of taxing jurisdictions that require withholding and/or employment taxes on resident/nonresident wages, and the rules concerning these taxes vary. The rules housed in the payroll system's tax configuration tables are complex, making them the most vital of all payroll system files.  However, an error in these tables can have implications on the entire workforce, and, if left undetected, could continue for years.

For these reasons, the content of tax configuration tables and how they are maintained are of interest to financial and governmental auditors, and should be regularly evaluated by payroll and human resources professions.

In this webinar, we will discuss best practices for maintaining, testing, and auditing tax configuration tables.

Join Debera Salam, CPP, with Ernst & Young LLP, in this timely and informative webinar as she reviews:

  • Pay and deduction code attributes
  • Procedures for adding, changing and deleting pay and deduction codes
  • Code naming considerations
  • Formatting tax table reports
  • Testing tables for accuracy
  • Supporting documentation
  • Common errors

This webinar is designed for payroll, human resources, tax, and audit professionals.
