This year will see the biggest changes to the UK’s Pay as You Earn (PAYE) system since its introduction in 1944. Having previously had a system which reconciled employee income and tax payments annually, from 6 April 2013 employers must send details about their employees’ earnings and tax deducted to Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs in real time.

Whether you have responsibility for running payrolls for British companies, or have employees who have been sent to work in the UK, this webinar will provide you with an essential background to the UK payroll system.

Join Helen Hargreaves, Senior Policy & Research Officer for the UK’s Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals, as she gives an overview of the UK payroll system, including:

•An employer’s obligations under the PAYE regime
•Responsibilities of the employee
•The challenges encountered submitting information in real time
•Accounting for expenses and benefits
