Now that there is less than a year to go before the benefits-enrollment season for 2014, employers need to learn the new “rules of the game” and finish redesigns of health plans.

Do you know how to do the math and consider other values to analyze a “play-or-pay” decision? Did you know that offering a health plan could hurt lower-wage employees? Do you understand how a state’s decision to expand Medicaid or “just say no” affects your health plan and taxes? Do you know how to rearrange your workforce to provide health coverage – or let your workers make their own choices – to get what’s most efficient for your business?

This program is scheduled for the week after Election Day so that we can explain how changes in national and state governments will affect the interpretation, implementation, and enforcement of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Educational Objectives:

• Learn how to analyze a “play-or-pay” decision.
• Understand why offering a health plan could hurt lower-wage employees.
• Find out how a State’s decision to expand Medicaid or “just say no” affects your health plan and taxes.
• Learn how to rearrange your workforce to get what’s most efficient for your business.
