Arlington, Va. (October 23, 2008) –Legal and business publisher BNA today announced the release of a proprietary new Web platform for all its Web-based news and analysis services – the products that keep decision makers in business and government abreast of the latest developments in legislation, regulations, policy, and law.

The new platform, while offering the same news reporting and analysis that BNA users have come to rely on and trust, provides new opportunities for users to personalize home pages, perform fielded searches, do batch printing, and access BNA content in easier, more direct ways.

“BNA subscribers have long relied on our Current Reports for the most authoritative news and analysis available, in a variety of formats and on a variety of platforms, including the Web,” said Greg McCaffery, BNA’s president and publisher. “But BNA’s new Web platform now combines our award-winning content with a superior Web experience, including stronger search capabilities and personalization options. The platform is truly terrific,” he said.

Among the interactive new features of the Web platform is “My Picks,” which lets subscribers track the topics that interest them most. In the “Editors’ Picks” section, BNA editors point readers to the latest developments on hot topics. “See Recent Articles By” helps readers monitor recent developments from the specific courts, agencies, or states of their own choosing.

“Key Features” points subscribers directly to a publication’s recurring features, such as ‘Analysis & Perspective’ articles, which help readers identify emerging trends in the law. The platform also offers a comprehensive calendar of current industry events, interviews with leading authorities, and many other Web resources.

“The launch of the new Web platform is a major step forward for BNA and represents a sophisticated level of technological innovation,” said Carol Clark, BNA’s vice president for resource management.  “It is the result of extensive work and collaboration between BNA's Product Design and Engineering staffs, and enables us to provide better navigation and improved search capabilities for our customers,” she said.

The new Web platform maintains each publication’s rich archive of articles, now easily accessible using BNA’s indexes and the platform’s improved search engine.
