BNA Announces Climapedia™ BillWatch
Free Real-Time Tracking of Environmental Legislation

Arlington, Va. (June 2, 2009) – Changes in fast-moving environmental and energy legislation can now be tracked as they happen, with the help of a new tool by BNA, the leading publisher of print and electronic news and analysis for professionals in business and government.

BNA today announced the launch of Climapedia™ BillWatch, a widget designed to follow climate change and energy-related legislation from both the U.S. House and Senate. It is available free, as part of Climapedia, a collection of premium reference materials on BNA’s continuously updated, multi-media Web resource, climate.bna.com.

According to Robert Shew, Vice President of BNA’s EHS division, “The new widget helps users track legislation introduced in the 111th U.S. Congress that addresses clean energy issues or global warming, such as the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 (H.R. 2454) recently introduced by U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry A. Waxman.” Users can stay on top of the latest legislation as it moves through Congress, with Web links to the status of each bill; any events associated with a bill, such as committee hearings; the bill's sponsor in Congress; and the last action taken on it.

Climate Change Legislation Tracker is powered by GovTrack.us, a noncommercial, nonpartisan, and open source project that follows the status of U.S. federal legislation, voting records in the House and Senate, and information on members of Congress, Congressional committees, and the Congressional Record.
