New June 2009 Edition of Patent, Trademark, and Copyright Laws Covers Legislative Developments Affecting IP Law Through May 29, 2009

Arlington, Va. (June 30, 2009) – All statutory changes enacted through May 29, 2009 that affect U.S. intellectual property law are covered in the June 2009 Edition of Patent, Trademark, and Copyright Laws.  The new edition is published by BNA Books, a division of BNA.

The new June 2009 Edition includes changes enacted into law during the first half of the First Session of the 111th Congress. These statutory changes relate to the Fiscal Year 2009 appropriations for the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the Copyright Office. It also includes miscellaneous sections of the United States Code and other laws and treaties relating to intellectual property.

Included with the June 2009 Edition is a CD-ROM that contains the entire text of the book in searchable format, plus the text of the Patent Reform Act of 2009, as reported out of the Senate Judiciary Committee and as introduced in the House of Representatives, along with accompanying explanatory material. To provide context, the CD-ROM also includes the text of the House and Senate versions of the Patent Act of 2007, as well as analysis of those bills. The CD-ROM also contains selected international Conventions and Treaties and their legislative histories, including the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks, which entered into force in the U.S. on March 16, 2009.

First published in 1985 and edited by Jeffrey M. Samuels, Patent, Trademark, and Copyright Laws features a finding list by topic; a finding list by U.S.C.
