Griffith B. Price, Jr., was formerly a Partner with Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP in Washington, D.C. Mr. Price has been involved in commercial litigation, specializing in intellectual property trials and appeals, for more than 30 years. He has an extensive background in the procedural and substantive aspects of intellectual property (IP) litigation in the federal courts, with a focus on patent, trade secret, and trademark infringement litigation for clients in a variety of industries and technical fields, including litigating unfair competition, false advertising, and related issues; prosecuting trademarks; and counseling clients with regard to trademark and trade secret protection and enforcement. Mr. Price is also a specialist in the field of damages analysis and damages litigation in IP cases.

Before joining Finnegan, Mr. Price was a partner at a New York firm, where he had an active trademark and trade secret practice. He was also extensively involved in IP and general commercial litigation, and participated in a large number of jury and nonjury trials and appeals involving trademark infringement, false advertising, trade secret, antitrust, and unfair competition claims.

Mr. Price regularly writes and lectures on a variety of intellectual property topics, and taught at the George Washington University. He has spoken on panels for the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property; the American Law Institute of the American Bar Association; the International Trademark Association; Licensing Executives Society; the American Intellectual Property Law Association; the American Chemical Society; the District of Columbia Bar Association; the Practicing Law Institute; and other bar and industry groups.

He earned an A.B. from Harvard University and an LL.B. from New York University.

Mr. Price is the co-author of the Bloomberg BNA treatise Secondary Trademark Infringement.
