Jane Tamagna

Jane Tamagna, of Tamagna/Snyder Associates, is a training and business consultant with 20 years of experience in organizational development, business consulting, and management development and training. Beginning in 1980, Ms. Tamagna worked full-time for BNA, a national publisher, where she held positions in the Editorial, Human Resources, Sales and Marketing, and Executive Departments. Hired as an editor, Ms. Tamagna moved into HR as Director of Training, later becoming Director of Organizational Development and then Acting Director of HR. She moved into Sales and Marketing as Director of Operations and then became BNA's internal corporate business consultant. In her work at BNA, Ms. Tamagna created comprehensive management development programs for new and experienced managers, developed management assessment and feedback programs, and oversaw the development of skills-based training, including performance management, project management, work process review, quality assessment, hiring, and work assessment and metrics programs.

Ms. Tamagna now works with senior management of small- to mid-size companies and nonprofits to help them define and resolve chronic issues. Her work-typically focused on projects involving succession management, group or individual performance, key account retention, market focusing, downsizing, re-organization, and process improvement-is based on finding practical solutions to specific problems.

Since the early 1980s, Ms. Tamagna has taught in a number of academic executive development programs, including American University's Key Executive Program and Office of Personnel Management Program, both of which provide two-year developmental programs for private- and public-sector senior managers and executives.

Ms. Tamagna holds both a master's and a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland.
