Summer 2013 - Volume V - Issue 3

From the Publisher

Dear Colleague,

Can you believe it’s already mid-summer? Time is flying by, so all the more reason to get our Summer issue of the Books Monitor in your hands. There is much to read about in this latest issue, and the newsletter gives us a chance to stay in touch with you on a semi-regular basis so you can know what we’ve been doing. We did have a chance to meet many of you during the past few months at industry conferences. As a matter of fact, we’re just back from Seattle earlier this month where we attended the American Association of Law Libraries annual meeting. It was such a pleasure putting names and faces together—it’s always a treat for us to meet our customers face to face to get input and suggestions on products and services.

This summer has been exciting for us, with the launch of several eBooks on the iTunes platform. If you haven't yet had a chance to peruse our selection, you can find information on available titles in the New eBooks article. Since our last Books Monitor, we have published new editions and supplements, so check out the New Titles article to be sure that you haven't missed anything.

Visit our website www.bna.com/bnabooks for complete information on these and all of our titles. As an exclusive savings for Books Monitor subscribers, take 15% off your next treatise order by using Priority Code BOOK13

In this edition, you will get an exclusive advance look into a brand new title, Inside Arbitration: How an Arbitrator Decides Labor and Employment Cases by Roger I. Abrams. This title should be out in just a couple of short months, but we can take pre-orders now. Our Author Profile features another new author, Samuel Rosenthal, who wrote the recent Director and Officer Liability in Financial Institutions: A Deskbook. And, from long-time author Irah H. Donner, you will find an article on the Supreme Court’s hold on DNA patent eligibility. Mr. Donner is the author of Patent Prosecution: Law, Practice, and Procedure, Eighth Edition  and Constructing and Deconstructing Patents

Soon we will start our big fall publishing rush, and we look forward to bringing you updates of many of the editions and supplements that you have come to count on over the years. In addition, we will have some exciting new titles and more eBooks, which we will highlight in the Fall Books Monitor

As we wrap up this issue, I wish you continued success. Enjoy the rest of your summer. As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or suggestions at mhullinger@bna.com. And be sure to visit us online at www.bna.com/bnabooks and to use Priority Code BOOK13 to take 15% off your next book order.

Sincerely yours,
