Rick Montella, Vice President for Strategic Resources since 2010, was promoted to Vice President, Sales & Customer Service in 2012. This newly integrated organization includes all of the Bloomberg BNA sales and customer support divisions, as well as pricing and licensing.
Montella joined BNA in 1990 as a Research Analyst in the Sales & Marketing Department. He was promoted to Senior Marketing Research Analyst in 1993 and appointed Marketing Research Manager in 1996. In 1997 he created Bloomberg BNA’s Pricing and Contracts group to focus on the development of new pricing models to support the specific needs of Bloomberg BNA’s varied market segments, assuming the additional role of Director of Pricing. In 2005 he was named Director, Strategic Resources, and formed the Strategic Information Management and Strategic Sales groups.
Montella graduated from Bloomsburg University with a B.S. in marketing, and earned an M.B.A. from the Smeal College of Business, Penn State University.
He serves on the board of Bloomberg BNA subsidiary Llesiant Inc., an Austin, Texas, firm which provides web-based business intelligence services.
