Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations
Rick Montella is Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations and is responsible for Bloomberg BNA’s customer support, sales operations, pricing, content acquisition and licensing, and library relations teams.
Montella joined BNA in 1990 as a Research Analyst in the sales and marketing department. He was promoted to Senior Marketing Research Analyst in 1993, and appointed Marketing Research Manager in 1996. In 1997, he created Bloomberg BNA’s Pricing and Contracts group to focus on the development of new pricing models to support the specific needs of Bloomberg BNA’s varied market segments, assuming the additional role of Director of Pricing. In 2005, he was named Director, Strategic Resources, and formed the Strategic Information Management and Strategic Sales groups. In 2010, he was appointed Vice President, Strategic Resources. Most recently, he served as Bloomberg BNA’s Vice President of Sales and Customer Service where he was instrumental in helping the sales division exceed its sales target.
Montella graduated from Bloomsburg University with a B.S. in marketing, and earned an MBA from the Smeal College of Business, Pennsylvania State University.
He serves on the board of Bloomberg BNA subsidiary Llesiant Inc., an Austin, Texas, firm which provides web-based business intelligence services.
