The meeting will be held at the commission's headquarters in Washington. Interested parties may submit written statements to the commission by Sept. 28.
The committee was established in April pursuant to Section 911 of the 2010 Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (68 SLD, 4/10/12). It replaced the SEC's former investor advisory committee, which, in anticipation of a new body under Dodd-Frank, was disbanded after enactment of the financial regulatory reform statute.
