Mr. Speice, Jr. is Assistant General Counsel, Regulatory & Compliance in the Law Department at United States Steel Corporation.  In this role, he is responsible for implementing the company's ethics and compliance program, conducting investigations into alleged misconduct, advising business units on compliance with applicable laws and company
policies, and working with outside counsel to handle litigation matters and investigations. He focuses particular attention on ensuring compliance with anti-corruption laws and political ethics. Prior to his role at U. S. Steel, he served as Associate General Counsel and Director, regulatory & Compliance Office at ACADEMI, where he was part of
the team that garnered ACADEMI the National Law Journal's 2012 Compliance Department of the Year award.  He is a member of the District of Columbia and Virginia Bars.  He received his  B.A. from Wake Forest University and his J.D. form the College of William & Mary.
