Lawrence M. Sung is a Partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Wiley Rein LLP. Dr. Sung is a registered patent attorney with a Ph.D. in microbiology who has over 20 years of experience in biotechnology, medical device, and pharmaceutical (small molecule and biologics) patent counseling, litigation, and technology transfer. 

Dr. Sung has taught as a Professor at the John Hopkins University Carey Business School, a a Lecturer at the Catholic University of American Columbus School of Law and as Professor and Intellectual Property Law Program Director at the University of Maryland School of Law. He is also a former Consultant for the ational Institutes of Health, National Human Genome Research Institute. 

Dr. Sung served as a law clerk to the Honorable Raymond C. Clevenger III of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Dr. Sung received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, his J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law. and his Ph.D. from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

He is the author of the Bloomberg BNA treatise Patent Infringement Remedies.
