Kelly McCarthy represents business entities and individuals in commercial, corporate, and intellectual property transactions with a focus on brand protection issues and trademark and copyright portfolio management. Her clients include public and private domestic and international companies, ranging from emerging regional companies to global industry leaders.
Ms. McCarthy advises clients on a variety of trademark and brand protection issues, including product and corporate name selection; trademark availability and clearance; worldwide branding strategies; trademark assignments, sales, co-existence agreements, and license agreements; management and prosecution of worldwide and domestic trademark portfolios; prosecution of U.S. trademark applications; trademark litigation matters before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and state and federal courts; foreign and domestic intellectual property anti-counterfeiting protection measures, enforcement of trademark rights; and the negotiation of trademark disputes and settlements. She earned a J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law and a B.A. from Loyola Marymount University.

As Director of Business and Legal Affairs, Jerod Partin handles a wide variety of legal matters relating to licensing, intellectual property, and compliance for Saban Brands, owner of lifestyle brand Paul Frank Industries, and the Power Rangers entertainment franchise.
Mr. Partin was previously Of Counsel to the Neff Law Firm where his practice focused on trademark, branding, Internet, and new media issues. Prior to Neff, he was an associate in the Entertainment, Intellectual Property, Technology & Media practice group at Greenberg Glusker, where he focused on trademark prosecution and clearance for numerous companies in industries including technology, entertainment, cosmetics, and apparel. He also counseled clients regarding entertainment, Internet, and new media issues. Mr. Partin has extensive experience in the branding and advertising fields and has provided brand consulting services to numerous clients in the sports and entertainment industry. He worked for a prominent web marketing firm prior to attending law school. Mr. Partin is a frequent writer on Internet, technology, and branding issues and has contributed to the World Trademark Review, the Los Angeles Daily Journal, the San Francisco Daily Journal, IP LAW 360, and M/E Insights among other publications.
Mr. Partin earned a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and a B.A., magna cum laude, from UCLA.
