A steadily growing number of Americans are taking full advantage of free and low-cost calling services available on the Internet. These include network-agnostic (casually referred to as over-the-top) services that allow users to talk over a video link. Bloomberg BNA conducted  a survey to assess the extent to which consumers are using so-called “over-the-top” calling services in their homes. In this report, we present details and analysis of the survey findings and provide a five-year forecast on residential over-the-top voice and video calling.
