John C. Truesdale Esq.

National Labor Relations Board

John C. Truesdale (deceased) was a Member of the National Labor Relations Board from 1977-96 and served as chairman from 1998 to 2001. During the course of his career at the NLRB spanning 60 years, Mr. Truesdale served as a field examiner in the Buffalo and New Orleans offices before moving to the agency's Washington, D.C. headquarters to work in the Office of the Executive Secretary. He served as Executive Secretary for 20 years.

Mr. Truesdale earned an A.B. from Grinnell College, a masters degree from Cornell University and his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.

He was the Editor-in-Chief of the ABA/Bloomberg BNA treatise How to Take a Case Before the NLRB.
